FAQs About Living
on Buffalo Lake, Alberta

Buffalo Lake is Central Alberta's largest lake at 93 sq km, which is over double the size of Sylvan Lake (without the crowds!)

When you visit, you'll notice our natural shoreline has been beautifully maintained. Fine sandy banks have been partially unearthed by wave action. Human activity on the waterfront will likely see more sand being exposed as time goes by. The smooth sandy bottom with a slow natural grade is great for family swimming and long afternoons on one of our 4 groomed beaches.

A red shale path now extends across our lake front shoreline connecting us to neighboring Pelican Point for all to use and enjoy. This path also is perfect for winter snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
